Drive Plus Launches First Working Groups to Advance Collaborative Solutions in the Automotive Supply Chain

  • In a pivotal step toward deeper collaboration, Drive Plus (D+) has transitioned from a content-driven platform to an action-oriented initiative. The first working groups under D+ have been launched, marking a move from one-way knowledge sharing through webinars to co-developing solutions with members that address key sustainability challenges in the automotive supply chain

From Feedback to Action: D+ Launches SAQ Receivers Working Group

Drive Plus (D+) has officially launched its first working group, dedicated to enhancing the Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) platform by improving its usability, strategic value, and alignment with supplier needs.

The SAQ Receivers Group held its first webinar in April, bringing together participants to review technical feedback with NQC and identify key opportunities for platform improvement. A fact-finding phase is now in progress to explore enhancement options and establish priorities. The second working group meeting, scheduled for May, will include a discussion of the fact-finding results and gather additional input to finalize the strategic recommendations.

The main deliverable will be a strategic development document outlining prioritised measures to improve SAQ Platform usability. This document will be presented to relevant stakeholders, including Sustainability (DS) and SupplierAssurance (NQC), and other relevant stakeholders.

Harmonization of ESG Standards and Tools: Second Working Group Set for Second Half of 2025

In the second half of 2025, D+ will launch its next working group, focusing on the harmonization of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards and tools across the automotive industry.

The group will assess the current landscape, drawing on members’ experience to identify overlaps in widely used questionnaires and define potential areas for alignment. A draft strategic document will be developed to support cross-recognition of ESG tools and frameworks.

Key stakeholders—including Drive Sustainability, CLEPA, and others—will be engaged throughout the process. The outcome will be a fact-based, platform-endorsed document outlining shared priorities, to be submitted to relevant industry stakeholders.

Building Solutions Together: Collaboration With OEMs and Beyond

These working groups reflect Drive+’s broader commitment to enabling active collaboration between suppliers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) from Drive Sustainability. One such example is the upcoming supply chain mapping pilot project, launching in May. This initiative aims to increase transparency and traceability while respecting business confidentiality.
