Circularity as a Competitive Edge: Launch Webinar for CSR Europe’s Circularity & Resource Resilience Atelier Series (26 March 2026)
On 26 March 2026, CSR Europe launches the first webinar of its Circularity & Resource Resilience: Building Competitive Business Models Atelier Series: “Circular Business Models – Current Trends and Leading Initiatives.” The session opens the series by setting a shared baseline on what “circular business models” mean in practice today, what is changing fastest, and which initiatives are already delivering measurable value for companies and their ecosystems.
Europe’s industrial base is being squeezed from multiple sides: climate impacts, raw materials scarcity, shifting geopolitics, and rising waste-management costs. Circularity sits right in the middle of that pressure, not as a “nice to have”, but as a route to more resilient supply chains, new revenue streams, and stronger competitiveness.
The focus is straightforward: what does circularity change in a business model, and where does it create real advantage? Beyond decarbonisation, circular approaches can reduce exposure to supply disruptions, lower material dependency, and design out waste and cost. But scaling them is rarely a matter of one team acting alone. It means choices on product design, procurement, reverse logistics, partnerships, and the internal incentives that decide what gets prioritised. This webinar is built to make those trade-offs visible and concrete, so participants leave with a clearer view of where circularity can strengthen their operating model.
The session will also introduce the self-assessment tool used in the series. Participants will complete it ahead of the bootcamp to benchmark circular maturity and identify where they want to go deeper; results will be used in aggregate and anonymously to shape the learning and peer exchange.
Speakers Include:
Camille Siefridt, Policy Analyst, DG for Parliamentary Research Services in the European Parliament
Tom Vöge, Policy Director, PRO Circularity Alliance
Luigi Pierno, Climate & Environmental Strategy and Projects, LEONARDO
Mariana Tracastro, Business Development Manager, EIT Raw Materials
This webinar is designed for corporate sustainability/ESG leads, supply chain and procurement teams, circular economy and innovation specialists, and colleagues working on risk and compliance who need to connect circularity with competitiveness decisions.
The webinar is the starting point of a March–June journey, culminating in a 1.5-day in-person bootcamp in Brussels, where participants work hands-on with peers on the practical enablers of circular business models, from materials and resource resilience to implementation pathways. Places are limited, with two confirmed representatives per company.
