CSR Europe is currently looking for an intern to join its EU Affairs team in Brussels for a period of 6 months. The intern will assist staff members when it comes to help companies complying and implementing new EU requirements related to sustainability (due diligence, circularity, sustainability reporting, competitiveness, and related areas). The role also involves contributing to CSR Europe’s broader policy monitoring, advocacy activities, and engagement with EU Institutions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring and Reporting:
Systematically monitor EU and international developments on key sustainability legislative files relevant to CSR Europe’s work and its members.
Conduct research and draft reports, briefs, and analyses on topics such as circular economy, human rights and environmental due diligence, and other corporate sustainability-related policies.
Projects and Team Support:
Assist project managers in developing concepts and preparing presentations.
Support project administration, including updating internal documents and maintaining databases.
Member Support:
Provide timely EU-related sustainability information to members (e.g. EU Policy Pulses, update calls, briefing notes etc.).
Support in the organization and delivery of webinars, workshops, and training sessions.
Communication:
Contribute to the newsletter, website articles, and updates.
Attend external meetings and events, including those with EU officials and other stakeholders, and prepare concise reports.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
Commitment to improving the conversation around sustainability in both the business community and EU policymaking.
Solid understanding of EU institutions, legislative processes, and current policy debates.
Familiarity with the business environment, corporate accountability, human rights, climate justice, and environmental issues.
Enthusiastic about learning new things and has a proactive, go-getter attitude.
WHICH SKILLS SHOULD YOU HAVE?
Good language skills: Fluency in English is essential (other languages desirable).
Good research skills: Ability to gather, analyse, and summarise relevant policy and sustainability information.
Good analytical skills: Capacity to understand complex regulatory frameworks and present them clearly
Good communication skills (verbal and written): ability to provide both information in a timely, clear and concise manner; and to express ideas effectively, adjusting style, tools and mode to the needs of others.
Good IT skills: Demonstrable experience with MS Office suite esp. strong skills with PowerPoint required.
Good multi-tasking skills: Capacity to rapidly respond to a variety of diverse tasks.
BACKGROUND
The applicant should have an academic background in a relevant field (business, sustainability studies, european studies, political science, international relations). You may explain the link of your studies to sustainability in your cover letter.
The candidate must be available to work for a period of 6 months.

CSR Europe is currently seeking three interns to join its Membership & Services team in Brussels for a six-months period. The interns will support staff in guiding CSR Europe’s members along their sustainability journey and in enhancing the impact of their sustainability programs and activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track developments of key sustainability files at both EU and international levels, including circular economy, supply chain sustainability, sustainability reporting, human rights and environmental due diligence and others
Conduct research and draft reports on a variety of sustainability topics, exploring how sustainability can be considered as a driver for value creation and innovation.
Project Support:
Assist project managers in developing concepts and preparing presentations.
Support project administration, including updating internal documents and maintaining databases.
Member Support:
Provide CSR-related information to members, including drafting newsletters and supporting update calls.
Assist in organizing and delivering webinars, workshops, training sessions and the annual summit.
Communication:
Contribute to content creation for the newsletter, website articles, and other updates.
Attend external meetings and events relevant to CSR Europe’s areas of work.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
