Upskill 4 Future Celebrates its Third Year Driving Upskilling Practices in Europe

  • With the project, CSR Europe is taking concrete action for the upskilling and reskilling of people of working age, in line with its commitment as a signatory of the EU Pact for Skills.

  • Launched in 2019, Upskill 4 Future is currently involving +30 companies in France, Italy, Poland, and Spain thanks to the support of national CSR Networks.

The project Upskill 4 Future is celebrating its third year of activity for the promotion of an inclusive and sustainable HR transformation in support of vulnerable employees, at risk of losing their jobs due to automation and digitalisation. Upskill 4 Future underlines the necessity of anticipating future megatrends by developing and implementing innovative corporate trainings and life-long learning activities, promoting at the same time a flexible working culture that leaves no one behind.

Funded by the JP Morgan Foundation and coordinated by CSR Europe, the project involves +30 companies from a wide variety of sectors and is implemented in Italy, Poland, Spain, and France through the support of CSR Europe’s National Partner Organisations Impronta Etica, Fondazione Sodalitas, RBF Poland, and Forética.

With the Upskill 4 Future, CSR Europe is fulfilling its role as Pact for Skills signatory and contributing to support a fair and resilient recovery and delivering on the ambitions of the green and digital transitions. This year’s anniversary is taking place ahead of the European Vocational Skills Week 2022, which this year focuses on VET and the Green Transition.

NEXT STEPS

Upskill 4 Future will be part of the European SDG Summit 2022, with a dedicated SDG Roundtable aimed at sharing with leading companies, EU policymakers, industry federations, and civil society organisations the major takeaways of this journey.

CSR Europe will present the methodology and tool developed to assess companies’ readiness for inclusive workforce transitions. We will also illustrate pilot activities developed by participating companies and key publications.
