Support CSR Ukraine’s Program to Help Ukrainian Businesswomen Recharge

In the midst of the war, Ukrainian female entrepreneurs face incredible challenges. They must navigate uncertainty, relocate their businesses from occupied territories, and provide for their families while also tending to the needs of their businesses. Despite their resilience, these women are exhausted and struggling to maintain their strength. Financial resources are scarce, and they must prioritize the well-being of their families and businesses above their own.

Recognizing the emotional toll of these challenges, CSR Ukraine in the framework of The Ukrainian Women Entrepreneurs Hub (U&WE Hub) project is organizing a 3-day retreat in the Carpathians for 15 female entrepreneurs from its community. The goal is to provide them with an opportunity to restore their energy levels and find new motivation. The program will include time in nature, group work, and master classes from experts in psychology and entrepreneurship. This retreat wants to help them prevent burnout and provide personal incentives for businesswomen to move forward.

The estimated budget for the program is UAH 300,000, which includes accommodation, food, travel, and expert fees. Investing in the restoration of these female entrepreneurs is not only important for their own well-being, but also for their families and the socially responsible businesses they lead. The fundraising campaign is currently open and anyone can donate to support the program.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The Ukrainian Women Entrepreneurs Hub (U&WE Hub) project was launched as a response to the war, when many women were forced to migrate, lost their jobs, their own business, or faced relocation. The project provides conditions for business training and development, exchange of experience and networking for women interested in developing their own business or those who are just planning to start a business.

U&WE Hub includes an online and offline component, which is represented by 4 hubs in Brovary, Hoshcha, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi. All offline hubs are child-friendly and equipped with children's rooms with an administrator, where women can leave their children while studying. In addition, the project organizes one-of-a-kind mobile educational trainings for women in villages, which are currently provided only by U&WE Hub in Ukraine.

During the 14 months of U&WE Hub's activity, about 700 Ukrainian women tried themselves in entrepreneurship and turned a business idea into a step-by-step business plan ready for launch thanks to our thorough training program. In total, there are more than 3,000 women in the U&WE Hub communities who are running their own business or aspire to become an entrepreneur.

The project teaches women not just to run their business, but to do it in a sustainable way, taking into account the impact on society and the environment, and contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We also encourage women to officially register their businesses and pay taxes. We are proud that 30% of women who did not have a business registered it during our program.

The U&WE Hub program is implemented by CSR Ukraine. The partners of the online component are the USAID "Dream and Act" program, the offline component is Global Giving and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine. At the national level, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
