Advancing Supplier Engagement: Insights from the CSR Europe Bootcamp in Brussels
On 6–7 May, CSR Europe convened 30 professionals in Brussels for a two-day Bootcamp on Advanced Supplier Engagement.
Discover how cross-sector collaboration is shaping new approaches to responsible sourcing, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
On 6–7 May 2025, CSR Europe welcomed 30 professionals from across Europe to our Brussels office for a two-day Advanced Supplier Engagement Bootcamp, part of our ongoing Supplier Engagement Atelier Series. The event brought together a diverse cohort of participants representing procurement, sustainability, product design, auditing, and other critical business functions.
Over two dynamic days, they delved into the complexities of supplier engagement, exploring how it can serve as a lever for innovation, resilience, and systemic impact.
What Set This Bootcamp Apart?
Real-World Expertise: The Bootcamp featured hands-on insights from experienced practitioners driving supplier engagement within their organisations.
Open Dialogue: Participants engaged in candid, trust-based discussions, sharing both challenges and solutions.
Cross-Sector Learning: The diversity of sectors and roles created fertile ground for inspiration and collaborative problem-solving.
Practical Takeaways: Each participant left with tangible action points to improve their supplier engagement strategies.
A consistent theme emerged: no company can tackle systemic supply chain issues alone. Addressing challenges such as living wages, child labour, and responsible sourcing requires cross-industry collaboration, transparent dialogue, and aligned commitments.
This Bootcamp reaffirmed CSR Europe’s mission to:
“Be a platform for collaboration with stakeholders and a catalyst for innovation to build a sustainable and inclusive society in Europe and beyond.”
The energy in the room was high with willingness to drive real change. The conversations were profound. And the potential for impact—limitless.
We thank all participants for their active engagement and commitment. Together, we are not only advancing supplier engagement practices but also strengthening the collective capacity to shape fairer and more sustainable supply chains.
Stay tuned for the next session in our Supplier Engagement Atelier Series.
