100+ participants Join Strategic Discussion on the CSDDD in NPO webinar “Impactful EU Regulations – implementing the CSDDD”

On 7 May 2025, CSR Europe hosted the second session of its “Impactful EU Regulations” webinar series, gathering over 100 participants from National Partner Organisations (NPOs) and their members. The session focused on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and its latest revisions introduced through the EU Omnibus Package.

CSR Europe’s EU Affairs team provided an overview of the legislative state of play following the Omnibus proposal.The team also showcased the work of the Chief Sustainability Officers (CSO) Network, presenting key insights from the network on how to improve the implementation of the CSDDD based on the latest updates introduced by the Omnibus Package.

NPO representatives from Poland, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany, and Spain shared national perspectives and business reflections on the CSDDD—highlighting its added value, implementation challenges, and reacting to the proposed revisions under the Omnibus Package. They also exchanged good practices from across the network to support more effective due diligence implementation, leveraging member experiences and fostering peer learning.

In the final segment, NPOs took part in a strategic exchange to reflect on key takeaways and explore opportunities for collaboration.

CSR Europe invites all NPOs to contribute input to the actionable recommendations being developed within the work of the CSO Network, with the aim of making the directive more practical and effective from an implementation standpoint.
