Resourcing Tomorrow 2025
From 2 to 4 December in London
As the global demand for critical raw materials intensifies, the pressure on companies to secure resilient and responsible supply chains continues to rise. From battery producers and automotive OEMs to energy providers and defence manufacturers, downstream industries are becoming increasingly active participants in shaping how raw materials are sourced, verified, and delivered.
In response to this shifting landscape, CSR Europe has renewed its strategic partnership with Resourcing Tomorrow, the leading global platform dedicated to the future of mining, critical minerals, and supply chain transformation.
This partnership reflects a broader trend: the recognition that sustainable sourcing is no longer the sole responsibility of the upstream. It is now a shared imperative that requires active engagement from companies across the value chain.
Resourcing Tomorrow 2025 will take place from 2 to 4 December in London, bringing together more than 2,500 global leaders from mining, energy, automotive, manufacturing, finance, and policy. Through a mix of keynotes, technical sessions, and private roundtables, the event will explore how business and government can align to deliver the mineral inputs required for Europe’s green and digital transitions.
This year’s programme includes a sharpened focus on downstream engagement, with tailored content and access opportunities for companies that rely on raw materials in their products or operations.
Why this matters now
In recent years, policy developments such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) and the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) have made responsible sourcing a legal and strategic priority. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, price volatility, and supply chain disruption have revealed the vulnerabilities in today’s material systems.
For downstream companies, the implication is clear. Securing long-term access to sustainable and traceable minerals is no longer a passive procurement task. It is now a core part of business resilience and regulatory compliance.
Yet engaging with the mining sector is not always straightforward. Technical knowledge gaps, lack of visibility, and siloed value chains can prevent meaningful collaboration between upstream and downstream actors. Events like Resourcing Tomorrow aim to bridge that divide.
A unique opportunity for CSR Europe’s network
To support broader participation from CSR Europe’s members and national partners, Resourcing Tomorrow is offering two access pathways:
A free Downstream Buyer Pass for professionals in automotive, battery, defence, and energy sectors who are part of the Drive Sustainability platform or affiliated with the CSR Europe network.
A 15 percent discount on delegate passes for all other CSR Europe members and national partners using the code CSR15.
The Downstream Buyer Pass offers full access to the three-day event and is designed to enable meaningful engagement between downstream buyers and mining executives. Attendees can take part in private roundtables under Chatham House Rule, attend technical sessions, and explore topics such as supply chain traceability, circularity, CRMA implementation, ESG due diligence, and vertical integration.
Key sessions of interest include:
Responsible Sourcing for the Energy Transition – A Downstream Perspective
Overcoming the Resilience Challenges of Supply Chain Security
Vertical Integration in Mining – Building Resilient Critical Mineral Supply Chains
Copper at the Crossroads – Balancing Energy Transition Demand and Supply Realities
Mining’s Role in Addressing Defence Sector Vulnerabilities
Navigating Evolving Mining Standards
Building Sustainable Battery Metals Supply Chains
Previous attendees have included leaders from Volvo, Hyundai, Rivian, Ferrari, Orsted, JLR, and other global brands who are actively reshaping how materials are sourced and supplied.
Driving impact across sectors
For CSR Europe, this partnership is not just about event participation. It is part of a broader effort to support cross-sector collaboration, regulatory alignment, and sustainable industrial transformation in Europe. By convening upstream and downstream actors, platforms like Resourcing Tomorrow help create the trust and shared understanding necessary to transition from fragmented sourcing to collaborative value chain resilience.
As the EU accelerates its implementation of sustainability regulations, the business case for integrated engagement grows stronger. Supply chain transparency is no longer a reporting topic. It is a strategic driver of competitive advantage and long-term security.
