On 13th October, respACT, the Austrian leading Business platform for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development, will host the 17th csrDAY in Vienna.
The event will focus on artificial intelligence and circular economy. Over the past 200 years, humans have developed an impressive industrial economy that has provided unprecedented prosperity - but for how much longer?
Between 2000 and 2018, Austrian material consumption stabilised at 19 tons per capita per year (BMK 2020). The associated supply risks and social and environmental consequences are inconsistent with sustainable development in Austria and worldwide. The goal of the EU's Circular Economy Action Plan and the Austrian Federal Government's Circular Economy Strategy is to increase recycling as well as reuse of products in the common economic space by 2050.
The event will focus on how we can harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence to accelerate the process.
