GRACE: Happy New (Busy) Year!

GRACE, the biggest Portuguese Association dedicated to corporate sustainability and responsibility, has reached the mark of 200 Associate members, proof that the responsible business movement is strong and thriving!

Considering the Decade of Action announced by the United Nations, and the 2030 and 2050 Agendas, GRACE is concerned with the corporate ecosystem’s “illiteracy” about the ESG framework, with the growing importance of the “social factors” (diversity and inclusion, mental health and digital transition) and the demands of the Net Zero economy.

Therefore, for 2022, GRACE has developed an ambitious and challenging activities plan focused on 5 areas:

  1. Influence & Network

  2. Share & Inspiration

  3. Knowledge & Training

  4. Citizenship & Volunteering

  5. Support to members

Besides its ongoing projects, such as Uni.Network (our project dedicated to universities), GIRO (an annual volunteering program), and a training program (focused on areas like human rights, SDGs, integration of people with disabilities and the ESG framework), GRACE will focus on sustainability-related issues and their vital importance to the subsistence of its Associate members.

Therefore, GRACE is launching 4 new clusters, besides the ones already in progress: Finance, SDG6, SDG13, Azores; and two taskforces: Circular Economy, The Future of Work.

GRACE has also added new subjects to its knowledge and training catalog, such as Responsible Communication, Circular Economy, Sustainable Finance and the European Green Deal, Gender Equality, Carbon Neutrality, and Reporting.

Having in mind the creation of shared value, the impact of collaborative work, and sharing knowledge and best practices, GRACE is confident that its companies will become more responsible and sustainable in the next years of pandemic recovery.
