Europe’s Leading Conference for the Raw Materials Sector

 
 

The fifth edition of the Raw Materials Summit, from 15 –17 May 2023 in Brussels, will showcase innovation enabling the EU Green Deal goal for a carbon-neutral future. As a result of the huge prominence being given to raw materials at the highest of political circles, Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission will be joining in person, as well as Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

The Raw Materials Summit, hosted by EIT RawMaterials, is Europe’s leading conference for the raw materials sector and one of the most important events for this sector globally. It offers direct access to over 800 industry leaders, government officials, NGOs, researchers, and academics, highlighting both the summit’s prominence and its immense strategic importance for Europe’s raw materials sector.

There will be lively and insightful debates on the most pressing challenges facing the raw materials sector featuring some of the industry’s most prominent leaders, including:

The summit’s guest speakers include “America's Energy Diplomat” the Hon. Frank Fannon, the Hon. Brian Tobin, Vice Chair of the BMO Financial Group from Canada, and Sam Rigall, CEO of Sunrise Energy Metals from Australia.

TED Talk surprise & Innovation Village

The opening night reception also includes a guest appearance by a renowned TED Talk speaker. At the same time, the investor and start-up communities will be out in force with the return of the popular Venture Forum and the summit’s first-ever Innovation Village, which showcases over 25 start-ups and their breakthrough technologies.
