HR BCSD Announces the Launch of the Workplace Inclusion Champion Training Program

Workplace Inclusion Champion (WIC) educational program is a project created by HR BCSD (Diversity Charter Croatia), Šentprima Institute (Diversity Charter Slovenia) and Carta Diversitatii din Romania (Diversity Charter Romania), with the support of the European Commission. These three organizations with extensive experience in related fields aimed to make the best use of skills, networks, and experiences in developing a set of training courses for regional Diversity Charter signatories.

The Workplace Inclusion Champion training program brings a deeper understanding and appropriate tools in terms of inclusion of persons of all genders, age groups, people with disabilities, and those part of the LGBTQI+ community. It gives insights into how diversity can be successfully managed, and highlights all benefits marginalised groups of employees may bring to an organisation.

The WIC training program also brings insightful steps on how to build an inclusive mentorship program and evaluate possible existing programs, with the aim to promote an inclusive organisational culture. Also, throughout the course you may discover about appropriate inclusive communication that encourages all employees and stakeholders to uphold inclusion, equality, and diversity as essential values of your organisation.

This course is designed for all interested in diversity management and its implementation at any level of the organization including middle/senior management, as well as those who lead and manage teams or departments. Particularly, is it suitable for those focused on sustainability, diversity, human resources, people and culture development, communication, etc.

The entire course is divided into 7 modules, each consisting of various video lectures, exercises, quizzes, readings and visual resources, theory and tools.

The 7 modules are:

  1. Diversity as a Key to Unlocking Sustainability

  2. Mentoring for Diversity and Inclusion

  3. Fostering an Inclusive Work Environment through Communication

  4. Gender Equality

  5. Inclusion of People with Disabilities

  6. LGBTIQ+ Diversity and Inclusion for Workplaces

  7. Age Diversity as a Key to Unlocking Business Success

At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a certificate “Workplace Inclusion Champion” by Slovenian, Croatian, and Romanian Diversity Charters, as you earn a deeper understanding of D&I, as well as self-awareness of how to be truly inclusive in your daily interactions in your personal and professional lives.
