EU Upcoming Events - November

DigiEduHack 2023 Days

Since its launch in 2019, the Digital Education Hackathon, one of the initiatives led by the European Institute of Technology (EIT) within the framework of the European Commission's Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, has brought together thousands of innovators, educators and learners from across the world to achieve the same objective, that is to make a positive change in digital education.

Throughout the DigiEduHack week, 24-hour hackathons will be organised in Europe and around the world inviting students, teachers, entrepreneurs, digital education enthusiasts and innovators to join efforts in finding solutions to the biggest challenges education faces in the digital age. Everyone is welcome to take part in DigiEduHack 2023 Days, from experienced educators to deeply passionate students with a strong interest in the future of education in the digital age.

Registrations are now open for host organisations and participants. Check out the in-person, online or blended events all over the world. The DigiEduHack 2023 Days will close with a final high-level event on 13 November in Madrid, hosted by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Translating Europe Forum 2023

This year’s Translating Europe Forum – the 10th edition – will look into what it takes to achieve excellence in translation. Ranging from skills and training to quality management, and from technologies to promoting the language professions, discussions will put translators in the spotlight and show why they are the key to quality.
We will also look back at how the profession has developed over the last 10 years – and what the Forum's role has been on this journey. Naturally, the agenda will also include a glimpse into the future.

SME Assembly

The SME Assembly is the most significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. The conference takes place once a year during the European SME week. Together with the network of SME envoys, the assembly creates the governance structure of the small business act.

The 2023 SME Assembly will take place from 13 to 15 November 2023, hosted in conjunction with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event will take place in Bilbao, with the option for additional delegates to attend online.

The Assembly will feature high-level panels and interviews, expert round tables, interactive workshops, informative masterclasses and numerous networking opportunities. These will help stimulate Europe's enterprises and equip them with the right tools for the transition towards sustainability and digitalisation.
