EU Upcoming Events - June

EU Green Week 2023 – Delivering a Net-Zero World

EU Green Week is your annual opportunity to debate, become familiar with, or even celebrate EU environment policy.

It’s an opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made, and to encourage individuals, communities and organisations to take stronger action in future – to protect, preserve and restore our environment, for now and for future generations, while constantly promoting sustainable development.

European Citizens’ Initiative Day 2023: “Upskilling Citizens for a Successful ECI with Impact!”

The 2023 edition of the ECI Day, organised by the European Economic and Social Committee and its partners, will focus on the skills that organisers need to make their initiative a success - in relation to the European Year of Skills.

This will include providing participants with practical tips and recommendations in the form of "How-To" workshops on topics such as how influencers can help an ECI succeed, or turning an idea into a European Citizens' Initiative.

Drawing on organisers' experience, the opening session will discuss ways to enhance the ECI tool itself. As part of the event, the European Commission will present its new educational toolkit for schools.

European Sustainable Energy Week 2023

The theme of this edition will be “Accelerating the clean energy transition – towards lower bills and greater skills”.

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2023 will include:

  • a policy conference with 7 plenary and 60 policy sessions covering topics related to skills, energy efficiency, affordability and inclusion, renewables, and decarbonization

  • the prestigious EUSEW Awards

  • the Energy Fair with more than 35 stands

  • the fourth edition of the European Youth Energy Day

In addition, a series of locally organised Sustainable Energy Days will take place from April to July, across Europe and beyond, to promote clean energy and energy efficiency.

EUSEW is open to international organisations, university associations, national and local authorities, professional associations, NGOs working in the field of sustainable development, consumer associations, research organisations, EU-funded projects, EU institutions, and more.

The European Space Forum 2023

The European Space Forum will return to Brussels in 2023, and will once again bring together key stakeholders and thought leaders for 2 full days of face-to-face debate.

Against the backdrop of the recently released EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence, this year’s event will have the theme of ‘Strength, security, resilience – Protecting Europe’s interests in and through space’.

Focussing on the key pillars of security & defence, sustainability, competition, innovation and connectivity, the event will provide the opportunity to come together and discuss key challenges and opportunities as Europe looks to deliver on its space ambitions and secure its position as a strong and resilient leader in the global space market.
