The EU Industry Days is the annual flagship event of the European industry. It is the main platform for stakeholders to discuss current industry challenges and co-develop opportunities and policy responses. This year’s edition will focus on green and sustainable growth and how to strengthen the resilience of EU companies and SMEs.
CSR Europe member Leonardo will participate in two sessions with the European Commission:
“Business case: EU industry investing in the green, digital and resilient economy” – with the participation of Alessandro Profumo, President of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) and CEO of Leonardo.
When: 10th February between 13:15 - 14:15 CET.
Bringing together important industrial stakeholders, investors and EU policy-makers, this high-level plenary session will zoom in on opportunities, enablers and challenges of an ongoing transformational change of the EU industry. It will shed light on business case - new partnership models, investment opportunities, technology/infrastructure needs and social factors to accelerate the twin transition towards a green, digital and resilient economy.

The resilience of the A&D sector lies on future generations trained to foster a more sustainable economy and communities. To make this happen, there is the need for cross-fertilization between industry and educational actors. As an enabler for more sustainability in the A&D's value chain, it is crucial to have experiences, needs, and business cases are known/disseminated at university/technical schools level with a mentorship approach: learners, particularly those with a STEM background, should be oriented towards a proactive approach to sustainability already during studies.
In line with the proposal to make 2022 the European Year of Youth, discussions will also be held on the potential of youth and the new generation to shape the future of the EU industry. View the full programme.

The Forum, co-organised by the European Commission, the African Union Commission, and the EU and African business organisations, brings together business leaders from the EU and Africa to increase opportunities for sustainable economic partnerships. The event offers a number of business-to-business and business-to-government sessions, providing attendees with insights about the economic relationship between the two Unions, investment and partnership opportunities.

European Union – African Union Summit
European and African Union leaders will convene at this Summit to discuss current challenges and explore new collaboration opportunities between the two continents. This edition will focus on the green transition, energy access, and sustainable growth and jobs, as outlined in the EU’s Comprehensive Strategy with Africa.
