CSR HELLAS: Outcomes of the CSR School 2020

CSR Hellas organized and delivered the second edition of the Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility School (CSR-School) between November and December 2020.

With a focus on SDG 17, the CSR School represents the first public-private partnership, involving business organizations as well as public and private higher education institutions, such as the ALBA Graduate Business School and the University of Crete.

The digital training programme raised awareness, provided advanced training, and promoted communication and cooperation on corporate responsibility and the SDGs with:

  • 12 webinars focusing on different thematic areas that are central to corporate sustainability and social responsibility today;

  • 7 weeks of classes, providing theoretical knowledge, practical insight, and a highly interactive environment for participants;

  • 15 tutors from distinguished universities including the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Toronto, the University of London, University of Warwick, University of Nottingham, University of Nicosia, Open University Cyprus, University of Athens, ALBA Graduate Business School, University of Crete and Panteion University;

  • 13 leading sustainability practitioners at national and international level, including representatives from the OECD, the European Investment Bank, B-LAB (B-Corp), EPSON Europe, Athens Stock Exchange, APIVITA S.A., Grant Thornton Hellas, Interamerican S.A., Signify Hellas, TITAN Cement Company;

  • 7 sponsor companies which supported the implementation of the programme – TITAN Cement Company (platinum), Chipita S.A. and Mytilineos (Gold) and APIVITA S.A., Grant Thornton Hellas, Interamerican S.A. and OTE Group (Silver).

The CSR School involved 62 participants, consisting 80% of business executives, predominantly working in the field of sustainability or other fields relevant to CSR fields, and 20% of postgraduate and PhD students interested in expanding their knowledge on CSR issues.

The CSR School was presented at the European SDG Summit 2020.
