CSR Europe Submits New EU Project Proposal to Advance Corporate Diversity & Inclusion

  • In June 2023, CSR Europe answered the call for proposals of the European Commission’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme.

  • If funded, the project will apply the successful methodology of Business Uniting Talents 2030 (BUT2030) to facilitate the adoption of inclusive business models in companies operating in Italy, Spain, and Poland.

Inclusive workplaces deliver tangible business advantages – from better problem-solving and innovation capabilities to comprehensive market insights to name a few. Despite this, 21.6 mln third-country nationals residing in the EU experience discriminatory labour market practices compared to EU nationals, such as mismatching jobs or microaggressions.

To address these pressing challenges, in June 2023, CSR Europe responded to the European Commission’s call to promote equality and to fight against racism, and xenophobia (CERV-2023-EQUAL) with the project proposal MINDEnhancing Multicultural INclusion and Diversity in Business. MIND's objective is to promote a more inclusive and diverse workforce in European businesses by providing them with the necessary tools to enhance the integration of employees from ethnic and racial minorities, along with those who may be vulnerable to intersectional discrimination.

The project proposal, submitted in collaboration with IDEC, brings together CSR Europe, three of its National Partners Organisations - Fondazione Sodalitas and Impronta Etica in Italy and Responsible Business Forum in Poland- and Fundacion para la Diversidad in Spain. With a Consortium that can count on the expertise of several representatives of the EU Diversity Charter, the project aims to replicate in Italy, Spain, and Poland the successful pilot project Business Uniting Talents 2030, run by CSR Europe in Belgium between October 2020 and March 2022.
