17 CSR Europe Members Recognized by CDP as Leading the Way to a net-zero Nature-Positive and Equitable Future

For over a decade the non-profit organization CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) has worked with companies to catalyze action towards a more sustainable world.

In the year of COP26, the need for transformational and collaborative change across the world is more urgent than ever. Environmental issues such as climate change, water risk and deforestation are interconnected, and companies must go further and faster to manage them together.

CDP’s A List showcases the companies leading on environmental transparency and action, based on their annual disclosure through CDP’s questionnaires on:

  • climate change

  • forests

  • water security

CSR Europe’s members stand out among the 270+ companies that are leading the way to a net-zero, nature-positive and equitable future.

Enel, Iberdrola, Leonardo, Moody’s and Pirelli received the highest “A” score for their Climate Change initiatives while Bridgestone and Coca-Cola for the actions undertaken to ensure Water Security. Epson, Hitachi and Toyota received A for both their Climate Change and Water Security initiatives.

Moreover, an “A-“ score has been obtained by BASF, Engie, Itochu, Johnson & Johnson, Orange, Titan, and Total in one or more categories.

In 2022, leading companies will have the opportunity to contribute to achieving systemic change by engaging with their sectors- and/or value chain peers and work together with other stakeholders via collaborative platforms and the European Pact for Sustainable Industry.
