Context
As due diligence frameworks and regulations reshape supply chain expectations, companies face a common challenge: how to move from assessing risks to actively enabling suppliers to meet them. While data collection is fundamental for due diligence compliance, lasting impact depends on translating data into meaningful supplier engagement and measurable improvement. At the same time, fragmented approaches and duplicated efforts limit impact at scale.
This learning lab explores collaborative ways to design targeted training and capacity building initiatives for suppliers. It will highlight how collective action and cross-industry collaboration can be leveraged to strengthen supplier capabilities and drive meaningful change across value chains.

ABOUT THE LEARNING LABS
During the session, participants will engage directly with peers to share experiences and discuss ways to move from compliance efforts to collaborative approaches that deliver tangible impact. Two concrete use cases from Drive Sustainability and Drive Plus initiatives will serve as basis for discussion:
The Upstream Supplier Learning Academy (USLA), a Drive Plus initiative to develop an industry-endorsed online platform providing accessible learning materials and activities for suppliers
The EUDR Collaborative Learning Labs by Drive Sustainability and VDA, showing how companies and suppliers can jointly navigate regulatory complexity through engagement with institutional and industry stakeholders
Key learning points:
How to leverage risk assessment tools to identify supplier-specific sustainability gaps and tailor capacity-building materials accordingly.
How to design an industry-endorsed online repository of training materials to reduce fragmentation for suppliers.
How multi-stakeholder collaboration can support companies and suppliers in addressing regulatory complexity.
