EUROPEAN SDG ROUNDTABLE - Educating the Future Sustainability Leaders

We are addressing the following SDGs:

SPEAKERS

Achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement goals will only be possible through systemic change, with education’s role in raising awareness around the topic being crucial.

It is essential to integrate the transmission of new knowledge and skills, adapted to the new business environment that is emerging, in all levels of education, be it formal or informal.

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are catalysts in shaping the world of tomorrow and have a decisive role to play in forging new ways to promote Sustainability and achieve the 17 SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. By transferring knowledge to students, through advanced learning methodologies and cutting-edge technologies, HEIs, among others, shape the behavior of future professionals, as well as the faculty, staff, network of stakeholders and society at large, contributing to the overall advancement of society, the environment, and the economy.

Non-formal educational institutions, like non-profit organizations, expert organizations and business-oriented organizations, can also offer great opportunities to develop green skills.

One such flagship initiative is the CSR-School, the executive training program by CSR HELLAS in collaboration with academic institutions and organizations from the private and public sector, focusing on the major thematic areas relating to responsibility and sustainability on the national, European and global stage

There are several EU or national programs developed on the topic and during this session, we would like to present their evolution.
