AGC, AJ Regniers, AXA, ENGIE, L’Oréal, Janssen, Solvay, Telenet, and The Port of Antwerp are set to launch pilot activities on ethnic Diversity & Inclusion in May during the European Diversity Month.

As the Commission celebrates the European Diversity Month in May, CSR Europe and partners of the project  Business Uniting Talents 2030 (BUT2030) - AGC, AJ Regniers, AXA, ENGIE, L’Oréal, Janssen, Solvay, Telenet, and The Port of Antwerp - are pushing forward their commitment towards ethnic Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) in the workplace with the launch of pilot activities.

The pilots aim at fostering ethnic D&I and implementing efforts to be retained at the core of BUT2030 partners’ culture and strategy - within different functions and levels beyond Human Resources- after the conclusion of the project.

Between May and July, each company will conduct two pilot activities in two of the three different areas of the ideal business model for an inclusive and ethnically diverse workforce: Strategic commitment, Management Processes, and Measurement & Monitoring. The starting point to implement company-specific improvement plans is the tailored report produced by CSR Europe for each participating company after the Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion Management Assessment. This tool assessed the performance of companies in the different pillars of the ideal model, highlighting strengths and areas for improvements as well as providing tailored recommendations to advance on ethnic D&I practices.

The pilot phase will be kicked off at the two stakeholder dialogues “Company action for a more ethnically inclusive labor market” taking place on:

  • 6th May for Flanders and Brussels - in Dutch.

  • 12th May for the Wallonia and Brussels - in French.

The events will involve all the layers of the Belgian society – including NGOs, governmental organisations, employer federations, trade unions, academia - and will be an opportunity to engage in action-oriented discussions about BUT2030’s ideal model, assessment tool, results, next steps.

Business Uniting Talents 2030 (BUT2030) is a project led by CSR Europe with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation and Prince Philippe Fund. The project is in line with the European Commission’s “Action plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021-2027” to support integration in the areas of education, employment, health, and housing.
