In 2023, the CSR Europe’s Markets programme is tailored to support companies in navigating the challenges posed by sustainability reporting, especially when it comes to horizontal challenges linked to the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the use of European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

  • Markets Atelier series “You’re A-Z Guide to Sustainability Reporting” for the development of practical corporate improvement’s plans.

  • EU Policy Dialogue with the Markets Leadership Hub - “Make the European Sustainability Reporting Standards work for business” and EU policy updates

Activities also open to non-members include:

EU Policy Dialogue

CSR Europe’s Markets Leadership Hub will focus on “Making the European Sustainability Reporting Standards work for business”. Corporate members and National Partner Organisations will have the opportunity to address and overcome the challenges posed by the implementation of the upcoming European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) together with European policymakers. Members will share insights and expertise on how the ESRS can be adopted by any European company and how SMEs can gain knowledge and support from their multinational counterparts. Key milestones include:

  • The participation to the public consultation on the horizontal set of ESRS

  • A letter to EU Commissioner McGuinnes

  • Policy recommendations on the ESRS towards a more integrated performance by multinational companies and SMEs

Besides the Markets Leadership Hub, CSR Europe will continue to keep members up-to-date with the EU policy developments with EU webinars and dedicated EU policy briefs, namely EU Issue Insights.
