Approximately $50 trillion in incremental investments is required by 2050 to transition to net-zero emissions and avert a climate catastrophe. But how can we allocate financial resources as efficiently as possible to ensure no one is left behind? CSR Europe will address this crucial question at the high-level plenary “Financing an Inclusive Green Transition”, taking place on 12 October at 11:30-13:00 CEST, with leading companies, policymakers, and key stakeholders contributing to the Just Transition and sustainable finance agenda. Register now.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms.

  • Ruth Paserman, Director Funds Programming and Implementation (DG-EMPL).

  • Hakan Lucius, Head of Corporate Sustainability, European Investment Bank.

  • Marco Cilento, Head of Institutional Policy, European Trade Union Confederation.

  • Antoni Ballabriga, Global Head of Responsible Business, BBVA.

  • Richard Lacaille, Executive VP & Global Head of ESG initiatives, State Street.

  • Maria Luisa Parmigiani, Head of Sustainability and Stakeholder Management, Unipol.

  • Alice Molta, Project Manager, Impronta Etica

At the event, CSR Europe will present the Policy Manifesto “Financing an Inclusive Transition”, with three practical recommendations to European policymakers for shaping and implementing an inclusive European Green Deal. The Manifesto stems from CSR Europe’s Leaders Group, a multi-stakeholder, action-oriented leadership initiative that reflected on the role of finance and sustainable investing in advancing a more equitable and inclusive society.

The plenary is part of the track “Sustainable Markets & Finance” of the European SDG Summit 2022. Discover the other sessions taking place online from 10-12 October on this topic.
