SPEAKERS

The European Pact for Sustainable Industry, launched last year, has been welcomed by the Commission as it supports Europe’s efforts towards a sustainable Europe 2030. For the Pact to be successfully implemented, multi-stakeholder collaboration within and across sectors needs to happen not only at the European level, under the push of European industry federations, but also at the national and local level across Europe.

Focus of this roundtable is the implementation of the European pact for Sustainable Industry in Greece, Spain, and Cyprus, where the long-lasting consequences of financial crisis left the mark and  business associations and SMEs – especially those participating in wider supply chains - could greatly benefit from collective, multi-stakeholder action.

In this session, CSR Business Networks of Greece, Spain, and Cyprus will highlight how the community of business associations/federations/co-federations can support their members companies to:

  • Address issues that are material to their sectors and in the geographical areas in which they operate.

  • Develop sustainability roadmaps for their sector that could be easily but meaningfully applied.

JOIN THIS NATIONAL SDG ROUNDTABLE TO:

  • Learn about the diverse approaches to multi-stakeholder collaboration at local level and across Europe within the frame of the European Pact for Sustainable Industry.

  • Discover best practices of collaboration between Industry and SME Associations and CSR Networks in achieving goals set locally.

  • Find out how business representatives from leading firms are partnering up with peers throughout the supply chain in a joint effort to enhance the maturity level of their sustainability practices.

  • Explore potential collaborations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • Industry federations & sector associations.

  • Business leaders & policy makers.

  • Civil society organisations.
