Norwegian CSR Awards winners celebrated in Oslo
The winners of the European CSR Awards Scheme in Norway were proudly announced at the national ceremony in the Norwegian Opera House in Oslo on the 16th of May. In the category small and medium-sized companies UNIT4 Agresso was awarded the prize for the project "Enterprise Resource Planning System Agresso accessible for blind and partially sighted", in cooperation with the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NABP). ManpowerGroup, Nokia and Pajat Solutions awarded for the best impactful partnerships in Finland

Western Union Pass Fund generates 177,574 days of education
Through a collaboration with UNICEF, CSR Europe member Western Union are using their sponsorship of the UEFA Europa League to raise funding for children in need of education across the world. For every pass made throughout its sponsorship contract (from the 2012/13 season until May 2015), the global payments services company will provide funding for one day of education.After Chelsea's win last night against SL Benfica in Amsterdam, the total number of days rose to 177,574. MVO Nederland launches CSR Risk Check
An interactive new tool has recently been launched by MVO Nederland, which offers a fast and easy insight into CSR risks in international business conduct.Within five minutes this freely available online tool provides an insight into risks companies might encounter through international business operations and trade. The CSR Risk Check helps entrepreneurs estimate social and environmental risks throughout their supply chains and overseas production, which helps prevent and mitigate issues like child labour, pollution and corruption… Read more

Responsible Consumption Observatory launched in Spain
The Responsible Consumption Observatory was recently launched as the result of a private initiative involving the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad and Eroski, in collaboration with KPMG, under the chairmanship of Agustín Markaide, President of Eroski, and direction of Miguel Ángel Merino, Director of Institutional Relations at Eroski.The collaboration focuses on consumer awareness, aiming to provide consumers with truthful and transparent information (e.g. through eco-labels) as per the Advisory Board's decision during its last work session… Read more

Czech winners of the European CSR Award were awarded at the CSR Summit at DOX gallery Prague
Winners of the European CSR Awards were announced at the CSR Summit in Prague. In the category Small and Medium Company was awarded První chodská develop a.s., for the project Steps into the Life. The Project focused on young people who leave safe houses when they became adult. In the category Large company was awarded Accenture Central Europe B.V. for the project Accenture Academy. Parallel sessions at Forética’s ‘CSR Spain 2013’ event
On April 16th, Forética organised the ‘CSR Spain 2013’ forum in Madrid, which included the presentation of the first edition of the European Awards on CSR. Give & Gain Day, the global employee volunteering campaign, is well underway with days already happening or just around the corner in many countries.
