Putting transparency and respect for human rights at the heart of business conduct is one of the three priorities of our Enterprise 2020 Manifesto. This can be achieved through pushing for superior reporting, stakeholder engagement and integrated thinking in boards, improved management systems and integrated management of the value chain. Therefore, CSR Europe is pleased to announce two events, the first on materiality and the second on tax transparency.
Event I - Materiality, Sep 27 all day and Sep 28 AM
CSR Europe has the pleasure to launch this event to further explore the materiality assessment process, get to know about good practices and learn by doing through hands-on exercises. The content will be provided both by materiality experts and companies sharing their approach. The workshop will be also an opportunity to introduce the materiality topic within the emerging context of integrated reporting.
This workshop is designed and highly recommended for materiality practitioners within companies. The event is part of CSR Europe Management & Transparency for Competiveness project. For more information check the Get value report.
Event II - Tax transparency, Sep 28 PM
Since 2015, the European Commission has sped up its work on tax issues publishing three comprehensive legislative packages in less than one year. The issue has also seen major public attention and has become an unavoidable issue for companies.
In this expert roundtable our members will be able to meet with key stakeholders from the EU institutions, civil society and the business sector to discuss together how to move the tax agenda forward and face the challenges presented by the new country-by-country reporting requirements. We will also analyse how CSR Europe can help its members to build the business case for making tax transparency a CSR issue and give corporations adequate guidance on what responsible tax behaviour entails.
