Brief project summary

TRANSFORM stands for an integrative approach to smart city development, including strong stakeholder involvement, data analytics and smart tooling, financial strategies and methodologies for co-creation. It supports those local stakeholders responsible for investment and policy decisions, to turn their CO2 ambitions into a Transformation Agenda and tangible Implementation Plans.

Short activity description

TRANSFORM provides insight into smart city processes and methodologies allowing cities to draft smart energy plans and executable projects, based on stakeholder co-creation. Strategy and operations are brought together to assess and promote innovation on the urban, regional, and neighbourhood-levels of six different cities that are committed to strengthening their low-carbon energy agendas.

Energy and grid companies, commercial and knowledge partners help them make their goals a reality through quantitative and qualitative support that improves and integrates their current energy strategies and helps implement these strategies in the urban context.

Their work revolves around six fields:

·         Defining a Smart Energy City

·         Specifying a Transformation Agenda

·         Developing a Decision Support Tool

·         Organizing Smart Urban Labs

·         Sharing knowledge and Communication

·         Managing the Project
