Brief project summary

The IBM executive team’s objective in Bucharest was to help refine the strategic vision for the City of Bucharest, assess its current state, and identify approaches for accelerating progress toward that vision.

Short activity description

The IBM team made the following recommendations, which are designed to achieve the city’s vision of becoming a vibrant commercial hub for Eastern Europe:

Economic Development: Industry-based zoning, Event destination, Regional Start-Up Hub

City Government Operations: City operations center, E-Government construct

Infrastructure: Intelligent transport system strategy, Governance, Optimisation, Integration

Quality of life: Citizen engagement campaign, Leverage technology to increase stakeholder engagement, Increase recreational opportunities.
