Get involved and take part in the upcoming Migrant Education Week, between April 25 and 29.
The current migration crisis has emphasised the vital role of adult education for the integration and skills development of migrants across the European Union.
To support the ongoing discussions and debates, the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) is organising Migrant Education Week.
The following topics will be covered during the week:
What works for newly arrived migrants and the broader group of adult learners with a migrant background
Programmes that support migrant learners to access the labour market
Professional development of adult trainers in order to best support migrant learners
Mechanisms which help migrants to access and complete adult learning programmes best suited to their needs (such as information and awareness programmes, cultural mediators and use of role models).
