On 15 March 2018 Assicurazioni Generali published the Group’s 2017 Annual Integrated Report presenting its value creation process in the long term, connecting financial and non-financial information, in line with their Charter of Sustainability Commitments and with the goal of integrating sustainability into the business.
Indeed, Generali believes it is of fundamental importance that their business areas work together with a common vision, breaking silos, to satisfy the broad range of their stakeholders’ expectations. The Annual Integrated Report is an example of this approach: In order to define and implement a common reporting approach, a number of functions across the company have collaborated in an organic way.
The Annual Integrated Report also contains a Consolidated Non-Financial Statement in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 254 of 31 December 2016 (which implemented Directive 95/2014/EU), including certain non-financial information identified through a specific materiality process.
Furthermore, Generali enrich the content of the Report with further information and insights available in various sections of the Group website and in the area dedicated to their responsibility - updated and redesigned - to present to their stakeholder commitments, actions and performance in social and environmental fields, in a transparent and effective way, providing an increasingly clear picture of the direction taken by the business and also underlining their support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
