Foretica's Cluster on Climate Change has launched its 2016 agenda with 36 large Spanish companies.

Forética leads this Cluster as the only representative in Spain of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

This kick-off meeting counted on the participation of the Director on Environment in the European Commission, Daniel Calleja, and the Director of the Climate Change Spanish Office, Valvanera Ulargui.

This year the group will delve into the concept, implementation and implications of the carbon pricing. They will analyse the link between biodiversity and climate change. Through dialogue with key opinion leaders at the institutional and enterprise level in this area, they will promote training in climate change in addition to the visibility of trends and knowledge.

The group has a majority representation from sectors such as finance, insurance, food or distribution.

Cluster Leading companies are Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar, Calidad Pascual, IKEA, OHL and Sanitas. As participants, the group includes companies such as: Abengoa, Accenture, Aqualogy, Banco Santander, Bankia, Bankinter, Brico Depot, CaixaBank, Carrefour, Correos, DKV, Ecoembes, Enagas, Endesa, FYM -Italcementi Group, Gas Natural Fenosa, Grupo Quironsalud, Heineken, Indra, LafargeHolcim, Leroy Merlin, Lilly, L'Oreal, Mutua Madrileña, Nestlé, Reale Seguros, Red Electrica, Sacyr, Solvay, Unilever and Vodafone.
