CSR Europe has been selected for a new EU Multi-Stakeholder Platform on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among other key stakeholders.
The new Multi-Stakeholder Platform was announced in May 2017 and will be chaired by European Commission First Vice-President, Frans Timmermans. It was set up to foster the implementation of the SDGs in the EU.
The members of the Multi-Stakeholder Platform will (among other things):
- Support the European Commission and all stakeholders involved in the implementation of the SDGs at EU level
- Contribute to the exchange of best practices across sectors at local, regional, national and EU level
This is a major step forward in our collaboration with the EU on driving forward the CSR/SDGs agenda in Europe.
CSR Europe is also incubating other collaborative projects on the SDGs, and has collected analysis and intelligence on the SDGs, through:
- CSR Europe’s White Paper – SDGs the Value for Europe
- EU ICT-Sustainable Development Goals Benchmark Report
The other members of the platform include NGOs, research institutes, trade unions and compnaies, including CSR Europe member Enel.
