The Call to Action was launched in May by Solvay CEO Ilham Kadri at the Brussels SDG Summit. It calls on European leaders to implement together an overarching strategy for a Sustainable Europe by 2030.
Almost 300 CEOs from as many European companies have responded to the appeal and signed. Signatories come from a wide variety of businesses and industry sectors throughout Europe, from food to furniture, and energy to insurance. They are ready to act together to accelerate sustainable growth, tackle climate change and create inclusive prosperity.
Once the new Commission will be ready to take office, CSR Europe will present the Call to Action for a New Deal for Europe and its full list of signatories to Ursula von der Leyen, Charles Michel, and David Maria Sassoli, the newly-elected Presidents of the European Commission, Council of the European Union and European Parliament respectively.
