R&D Innovation Networks Involving SMEs and "Entreprises x Innovation" Award
The importance of innovation to long-term sustainable growth is well established, as is the importance of the role played by SMEs in this process. Improving the knowledge transfer between research institutions and industry across Europe and enhancing open innovation are also key focus areas of the Lisbon Strategy.
ST Microelectronics, Confindustria, Numonyx and Bracco worked with Sodalitas to work on these issues by developing models based on best practices. This has resulted in guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of innovation networks and the development of the "Imprese x Innovazione" award programme.
