Profile
Created in 1996 under the name Green Business Network Norway, CSR Norway is the leading Norwegian business network on Corporate Social Responsibility. The network has a multi-stakeholder focus, and encompasses the following stakeholders:
- Companies and federations
- Governments
- Universities and R&D
- NGOs
The network changed its name to CSR Norway in June 2010. At the same time it launched a new effort to mobilize Norwegian companies in a strong CSR movement.
Mission
CSR Norway aims to
- Create a common meeting place for companies, organisations and government institutions for exchange of knowledge and experience within the CSR field
- Inspire companies to new CSR efforts by providing good examples
- Encourage real network activity, across industries, geographical location and level of experience
- Encourage companies to integrate corporate responsibility as a natural part of their value chain and culture
- Develop and disperse practical tools for implementing CSR
- Promote companies with a good CSR record
- Disperse information, activities and tools from CSR Europe
- Take part in the public debate, and increase knowledge and interest for CSR issues in Norway
- Administer the prize "CSR company of the year"
Activities
- National conferences on CSR (bi-annually)
- Forum meetings (3 - 4 per year) - Meetings giving a broad perspective on the issue

- Administering discussion forums
