Measuring and reporting corporate performance on human rights
This joint publication by CSR Europe and Business for Social Responsibility outlines some of the most important efforts to date to develop ways of measuring companies' performances on human rights.
The report sets out why such measurements are important and raises questions concerning the difficulties of quantifying progress. It analyses four initiatives in depth (the Global Reporting Initiative, Social Accountability 8000, the Ethical Trade Initiative and the Fair Labour Association), and provides synopses of key human rights international standards and other reference sources.
