General Assembly 2008

CSR Europe's General Assembly at Autoworld, BrusselsCSR Europe's General Assembly event took place at the Autoworld museum in Brussels on 19 June 2008. The programme of the day included the annual statutory meeting, the launch of CSR Europe's new Sustainable Marketing Guide, an interactive CSR Laboratories exchange session, and a networking lunch.

Annual Statutory Meeting

CSR Europe's General Assembly (GA) meets once a year to review the organisation's annual progress, approve the annual budget and financial results and make decisions about the organisation's work. The meeting agenda and presentation are available for GA representatives here.

CSR Europe's Board of Directors 2006-2008New Board of Directors

CSR Europe's new Board of Directors for the two-year term 2008-2010 was inaugurated at the General Assembly. The new Board consists of 12 directors representing corporate members and 3 directors representing national partner organisations (see list of current Board members).

CSR Europe thanks the outgoing Board of Directors (pictured) and especially its Chair Frank Welvaert from Johnson & Johnson for their extraordinary commitment and support to the organisation.

Launch of CSR Europe's Sustainable Marketing Guide

Launch of CSR Europe's Sustainable Marketing GuideCSR Europe's B2B working group on sustainable marketing, represented by Emma Williams from BT and Maarit Cruz from Dassault Systemes, launched its Sustainable Marketing Guide and online game at the General Assembly.

Written by practitioners, for practitioners, the new guide provides an introduction to sustainable marketing - what it is, why it makes good business sense and how to do it, addressing the issue both on a strategic and tactical level. The guide and game are available here.

CSR Laboratories Exchange Session

The CSR Laboratory exchange session provided CSR Europe members and partners as well as representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament the opportunity to be among the first to learn about the planned outputs of the CSR Laboratories - practical toolkits, guides and network models for tackling specific CSR challenges.

During the two rounds of interactive sessions, Laboratory leaders, facilitators and other event participants engaged in a lively discussion on the work of the Laboratories so far, the usability of the tools being developed by the Laboratories, and ideas for their further development and dissemination.
