Open Pact for Youth webinar: Unleashing youth's full potential

Added on 02-03-2017

Please note that this is an open webinar.

According to latest statistics, around 19,2% of 18-24 year olds find themselves unemployed in the EU-28. At the same time, 40% of employers report difficulties finding applicants with the right skill requirements. In a survey amongst employers from the UK, Spain, France and Germany, over 25% indicated they believe that the education system is not equipping young people with the right skills when entering the workforce. Concerning skills, the World Economic Forum looked at the top 10 skills needed for the people to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These skills are by and large soft skills, such as complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, people management, judgement and decision making, negotiation, etc.

Hence, as business-education partnerships are a potent tool of bringing the worlds of work and education closer together, these collaborations should ideally also place emphasis on developing transversal and soft skills. To address the aforementioned statistics, this webinar will therefore look into some best practice partnerships concerning the development of soft and transversal skills

Join this webinar to learn how Pact for Youth partners, in their own ways are supporting the development of essential soft skills for youth.
