KPMG in Ireland’s Make a Difference Day 2011
During October 2011, staff from KPMG’s offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway participated in KPMG’s Make a Difference Day (MaDD), which saw teams of KPMG employees developing one-day projects in their local communities. The Dublin office worked with St Michael’s House, Ireland’s largest provider of community-based services for people with an intellectual disability. Twenty-six KPMG volunteers helped out by painting a mural and doing some gardening work. The “sea scape” mural was painted on the walls of the St. Michael’s House leisure centre, and the colourful caricatures brought lots of smiles to the faces of the adults and children that use the centre.
