ArcelorMittal and the Corporate Responsibility Forum of Liberia announce year one achievements

ArcelorMittal announced the year-one achievements of Liberia's Corporate Responsibility Forum - a public private partnership launched in February 2010 with German NGO, GTZ (now renamed GIZ), that was designed to encourage responsible investment, good corporate citizenship and collective action for sustainable development. The CR Forum launched its inaugural project, Capacity Building for Better Business in Liberia last year, with the intention to unite representatives from the private sector, Liberian government, civil society and international organisations to create a platform to exchange experience, knowledge, research and best practice in corporate responsibility. Moving forward, the Forum has set four strategic priorities in Liberia's journey toward economic prosperity, each to be delivered over a 24-month period, starting from January 2011.
