CSR Europe participates in CSR dialogue between Canada and the European Union
Stefan Crets, Executive Director of CSR Europe joined the Canada’s largest public relations consulting firm, NATIONAL Public Relations, for its first business breakfast in Montreal on the topic of CSR in Canada and the European Union. CSR Europe congratulates Presidents of the European Council, Commission and Parliament on reception of Nobel Prize for Peace
CSR Europe was delighted to learn that the European Union has been awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize for Peace. CSR Europe is particularly delighted to see that the Norwegian Nobel Committee emphasizes the role of the European Union in further strengthening democracy and the advancement of human rights. From a business perspective these qualities are an essential condition for the further advancement of sustainable growth in Europe and beyond. CSR Europe to host High Level Panel at the European Development Days on Wednesday 17th of October
CSR Europe will be holding a high level panel on Inclusive Business Models at the European Development Days on Wednesday 17th of October at 11:00-12:30 CET. The panel is organized in the framework of an Enterprise 2020 collaborative project “Inclusive Business Models. Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth at the Base of the Pyramid”.The European Development Days are renowned as Europe's premier forum on development and international affairs. CSR Europe attends World Forum Convergences 2015
From the 19th - 21st September, the World Forum brought together over 4,000 professionals and key actors from the public, private and solidarity-based sectors committed to the fight against poverty.The role of companies in fighting poverty in developing countries was discussed in detail under the moderation of CSR Europe’s Project Manager Sarah Dekkiche. Challenges and opportunities faced by companies highlighted in the webinar on Monitoring Auditing Suppliers beyond Tier 1

Inclusive business models and best practices mapped out at CSR Europe’s workshop
On September 27th, around 50 participants from 18 businesses and 20 public organizations (GIZ, BMZ, USAid and UNDP among others) attended this session. CSR Europe welcomes new Directors to the CSR Europe Board of Directors
At the Board Meeting on the 24th of September, both Vanina Laurent-Ledru (MSD) and Eckhard Koch (BASF) expressed their wish to resign from the Board and subsequently proposed to be replaced by two senior colleagues from within their respective companies. In this context, the Board confirmed the nomination of Ms. Karin Bernadotte Executive Director Public Policy Europe/Canada (MSD) an Mr. Thorsten Pinkepak, head of corporate sustainability relations (BASF) as new Board Directors. The Board expresses their gratitude to the leaving Board Directors for their work, dedication and support given to the organisation in the last 18 months and CSR Europe wishes them both all the best for their future career… Read more
