Business and Human Rights Workshop held in Berlin

CSR Europe publishes 'Rethinking Careers' report

CSR Europe Members elect new Board of Directors
In February 2013, CSR Europe encouraged all its members to submit their application to become part of the Board of Directors as well as to cast their vote in the subsequent election of the Board. As a result of that, 3 corporate members and one National Partner Organisations became new members of the Board. In addition to that, 9 corporate members and two National Partner Organisations were re-elected. See the complete list of Board of Directors below. CSR Europe’s draft report Company Mechanisms for Addressing Human Rights Complaints enters consultation stage
This report aims to equip companies with a “practical reference” and to give an indication of the process requirements for an effective company grievance mechanism in two key stages. Firstly, the report provides a practical interpretation of the 8 effectiveness criteria for grievance mechanisms laid out in Principles 31 of the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights. CSR Europe's pan European movement grows even stronger as UPJ joins the network
CSR Europe is proud to welcome the 37th National Partner Organisation to its network! Founded in 1996, UPJ (Germany) supports companies to introduce and implement responsible business practice not only in the community, but also in the marketplace, the environment and the workplace, as a contribution towards sustainable development and as a source of competitive advantage. Expert Meeting on HR Management strategies: How to deal with an ageing workforce

CSR Europe delivers its first ever Stakeholder dialogue on Business and Human Rights
In its continuous effort to improve the Management of Complaints Assessment (MOC-A) tool, which was developed in a cooperation with some of its members, CSR Europe invited key actors from NGOs, labour unions, corporate companies, the European Commission and other experts to participate in a stakeholder dialogue on Business and Human Rights.The purpose of the meeting was to present the tool, gather feedback and define the next steps.The MOC-A tool allows companies to assess and benchmark their existing processes against the 8 UN effectiveness criteria for grievance mechanisms… Read more

European CSR Award Scheme moving to selection stage
Throughout the majority of the European CSR Award Scheme participating countries, the call for entries are closing and the selection stage has begun. A call for entries is still open, however, in Kosovo, Montenegro, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.All national winners of the first ever pan-European award scheme will be celebrated on 25th June 2013 in Brussels.
