Stefan Crets participates in Close the Gap's Strategic Partner Day in Rotterdam
Close the Gap is an international not-for-profit organisation that helps bridging this digital divide by offering cost-efficient high-quality used IT-equipment to projects in the South.
On the 3rd of May, Close the Gap welcomed its strategic partners, including CSR Europe's Executive Director Stefan Crets and key donors to the Strategic Partner Day at Deloitte in the Netherlands. During this meeting Close the Gap’s past, current and future opportunities were presented to the audience of 40 people.
With a view of the city of Rotterdam from the 45th floor of the tallest building in the Benelux, this “high level” conference could only inspire all those partners who were present.
Close the Gap wanted to focus this event on the interactivity between its partners. Michel De Bosschere, CEO Ricoh France, was invited to give a presentation about Ricoh’s evolution of best practices in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Mr. Stefan Crets, Executive Director of CSR Europe, explained how CSR Europe can help companies to improve their CSR practices in different societal areas.
All the partners were invited to discuss in small groups how they could create SMART win-win partnerships between their organisations and Close the Gap. The outcome of the discussions will be taken into account in Close the Gap’s future operational plans.
