Titan publishes Αnnual Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Report 2011

TITAN presents its 9^th Αnnual Group CSR & Sustainability Report, which is the 5^th independently verified for A+ assurance level, according to the latest version of GRI, G3.1. The Report has also met the “Advanced” level for UN Global Compact Communication on Progress (CoP) and has been independently assured by DNV against the Group’s commitments, goals and achievements, in line with the Cement Sustainability Initiative of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

TITAN’s 2011 CSR & S Report is focused on its collaborative culture and activity, presenting the expansion of the CSR Liaison Delegate Networks and the Global Compact Networks, as well as the collaborative initiatives, such as – among others – the cooperation within the WBCSD/CSI task forces, or the CSR Europe “ENTERPRISE 2020”. TITAN’s collective activities enhance its long-term commitment to values, priorities and principles.

The 2011 highlights for the Group include:

• Co-chairing CSI and CSI’s “Biodiversity and Land Stewardship” task force
• Enrichment of the Stakeholder Engagement activities, through collaborative actions
• On track with 2015 targets, regarding CO₂ emissions and water management
• Drop 38%  of Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate
