CSR Europe welcomes CSR Kosovo to its network

The Kosovo Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network is the first business network established in Kosovo for CSR by its founding members and operating under the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo. The Network was founded on April 21st, 2011 by distinguished Kosovar and international business leaders who were determined to increase the public’s awareness on CSR and also incorporate CSR best practices into their own companies. 

Kosovo is one the newest countries in the world with the youngest population. It is also constantly being promoted for foreign direct investments. As local and international businesses take advantage of what Kosovo has to offer in terms of investment and business opportunities, they also need to pay attention to the local community through the protection of labor and human rights, the environment at large, and the wellbeing of the local community as a whole. By following these simple rules set by members, businesses will create a trustful environment between them and the society. The creation of a trustful environment between the two is important especially when taking into consideration the current economic situation in Kosovo, where there is a lot of room for engagement in many activities which would benefit the society.

CSR Kosovo was welcomed as a member of CSR Europe on 25th of May 2012.
