CSR Europe welcome Slovakian delegation to Brussels under the EU-funded project entitled “Responsible Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Slovakia - Support for National CSR Platforms”.

On May 31^st and June 1^st 2012, CSR Europe was very pleased to host a study tour for a delegation from Slovakia who came to Brussels under the EU-funded project entitled “Responsible Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Slovakia - Support for National CSR Platforms”. One of the objectives of this project was to build capacities in the area of CSR of key stakeholders involved in the SME development in Slovakia. The participants represented Pontis Foundation (CSR Europe’s National Partner Organisation), the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family as well as the National Agency for the Development of SMEs and the University of Economics.

The delegation met with speakers from European Institutions, associations representing SMEs, sector and civil society organizations as well as small and big companies in order to discuss different issues around responsible SMEs, including legislative frameworks and the support from governments as well as SME challenges, risks and opportunities. CSR Europe would like to thank all speakers and participants for their contribution to this very fruitful study tour.
