Collaborative Project on Demographic Change: Webinar Summary

In the framework of the Enterprise 2020 collaborative project “Using Potential – Jointly Tackling Demographic Change in Europe”, co-lead by econsense, BASF, Evonik, Hitachi, Randstad, SAP and Vodafone, a webinar took place on May 23rd. The focus was the presentation from the final results of the project. The final report of the Collaborative Project aims to outline a business approach to address the challenges and realise the opportunities posed by demographic change. The best practice examples included in this report highlight different approaches that some European companies and governments are already taking to deal with demographic change. During the webinar the project leader of the Collaborative Venture and national partner organization of CSR Europe econsense as well as BASF and SAP, presented how the existing potential of female, older and younger workers in the labour market can be better exploited, in how far greater impact can be reached through multi-stakeholder cooperation and what demographic change means for your business and what other companies do in promoting innovative approaches to tackle the foreseen negative impact and maintain the company’s long-term competitiveness.
