Canadian Government creates new Centre of Excellence in CSR

The Canadian Government has commissioned the development of an online Centre of Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as one of the four pillars of the Canadian Government's action plan on CSR, Building the Canadian Advantage, which was launched in March 2009.

It is intended that the website, which is being developed by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) will become the hub of knowledge on CSR-related practices in the extractive sector.
