New Report on the Economics of Water Scarcity to be launched by Nestlé, McKinsey & Company, IFC and other business partners
On 23 November 2009, the 2030 Water Resources Group is launching a groundbreaking new report that shows that, by 2030, one-third of the world's population could have access to only half the water they need. For the first time, it will show how future demand for water can be met through cost-effective measures using existing technologies. The report provides greater clarity on the scale of the water challenge and the cost of the solutions, and offers a fact-based tool to help all stakeholders make informed investment decisions and guide policy discussions.
