Start of Volkswagen AG’s 17th mentoring programme for women with ambitious objective
Volkswagen AG has started its 17th mentoring programme for women with an ambitious objective: Until 2012 the percentage of female employees at top management level should reach 10 percent. The implemented mentoring programme strengthens the position of women helping them to make their competences and skills visible. Furthermore, since its start in 1998 it is the first time that the programme is under a female patronage. (Source: Volkswagen)

Private equity firms ready to adopt ESG principles: Ethos survey
Private equity investment houses remain unfamiliar with the practical implications of responsible investment but are increasingly conscious of the principles and ready to develop and implement them, according to a survey by Ethos, the 84-member Swiss sustainable investor group comprised mostly of pension funds. Les Galapiats, a project supported by Toyota, showcase their work
Toyota France (TFR) and Les Galapiats Association have showcased the first two model racing vehicles built as part of the Galapiats project. The vehicles were built by 33 teenage Galapiats utilising the Yaris engine, which has been produced in Valenciennes for a number of years. Les Galapiats is a project which aims to engage children and teenagers in technical education and to motivate them to consider apprenticeships and careers in the automotive sector. Launch of the Labour-Rights-Responsibilities-Guide for Successful CSR Management, June 1, Brussels
The LARRGE Guide is the product of a sixteen months' research project, funded by the European Commission's PROGRESS Programme and conducted by an international team composed of the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the Centre for the Study of Global Ethics (University of Birmingham) and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM, Vienna).
